A White Power Move Just Happened In New Orleans.

 

While conservative friends may wince at my racial views, fact is. this is what the 2025 New Orleans mayoral to election was about: Most GOP donors backed Moreno. 80% of White voters backed Moreno.

It was a White power move not the 'colorblindness' preached by their ideology. 

They even froze out peers backing a moderate Black candidate like Oliver Thomas who engages all sectors of the city.

Original salute once again to statewide advocate Gary Chambers for pulling the proverbial hood off of racial reality behind the rhetoric.

Here's another racial revelation: The same local White liberals who marched for George Floyd and against Donald Trump marched to the polls with White Republicans they publicly oppose to privately vote against working class Black leadership in the mayor's office of this majority Black, working class city.

Bigoted bipartisanship prevailed over authentic representation.

Local advocate Raymond Brown kept crying in the wilderness that candidates needed a Black agenda.

We'll see shortly why he was SO right.

  Happy Founder's Day to the Black Panther Party! I was an infant when the party was founded on October 15, 1966. Their imagery and survival programs inspired my later #borrowabrother community safety creation outreach,  #halthunger food outreach to our homeless and 'almost homeless' working class and recently, #prayerfulpanther advocacy. As beloved ancestor Malcolm X inspired them, so have he and this first generation of Panthers inspired me, including local original New Orleans chapter member beloved Brother Malik Raheem.
